Mis-sold Catalogue Insurance Plan

I don't know if any of have noticed the same as me! I had bought some stuff on the Littlewoods Catalogue and the balance should have been cleared ages ago...I have since looked again at my statements and I am still paying for an insurance plan and there shouldn't be any balance remaining on the account. Apparently when I questioned them, they said that I had taken out the insurance to cover the amount of what I had purchased. However, I don't remember agreeing to this insurance and if, as they say, it was based on the balance of my account, why is it still being taken from my bank account? I am a bit peeved as I have tried to get an answer to this question, but have been fobbed off. Would going through the PPI route be a place to start? I cannot believe how much money has been taken and I am really cheesed off that despite my enquiry they have not stopped taking the payments!
Can you help? Thank you for taking the time to look at this.

Instead of making "enquiries", formally cancel the insurance and then write a letter of complaint that you have continued to be charged insurance while your account had a nil balance. Demand a refund of the premiums paid.Dollydumplin wrote: »I am really cheesed off that despite my enquiry they have not stopped taking the payments!0
