Broken Nintendo DS

Oh Whoopsie
In a fight between my daughter and Son over the TV remote, the DS got flung across the floor, it is now broken with the two parts now in 2 pieces.
The top screen section has well had it, it has gone like my Sat Nav did when I hit a speed bump and it fell off the windscreen mount, it is all crazed.
The bottom part is intact, but probably needs recharging before the real extent of damage can be accounted for.
Is it repairable ?, is it sell-able in that condition ?, I am a single parent on limited funds, this DS cost me money I couldn't really afford, and now thanks to the kids inability to get on, is broken.
Thanks for any advice,

There are always people willing to buy broken stuff on ebay as they can use the none broken bits to repair their broken one.
if the top has broken clean off then it will need major work I woul buy a screwdriver to take the thing apart and see what you can fix yourself, there are people that will do it for you but what do you have to loose? is screwed anyway.
I would also use it to teach the kids a lesson by not replaceing it if they cant get on they dont deserve expensive toys like a DS.0 -
You can get a new top screen for around £40 and fit it yourself but if the hinge between the top and bottom halves is broken I reckon it's had it. You'd probably have to replace the whole casing and the screen which would probably cost virtually as much as a new one.
You could put it on ebay, if the bottom screen is intact that may fetch a reasonable price as the bottom screens are more expensive being touch screens. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
