I have a without profits 1968 series policy. It was taken out in joint names in 1983, since getting a divorce in 1993 it was asigned into my name only.Would anyone have any idea if i would be eligible for a claim?? (I have tried to go onto scottish life's site but this site shuts down my browser for some reason)

I would imagine you would. Who was the first named policy holder originally?
Phone them up and ask them.God save the King!
I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.0 -
Hi
I had something similar happen to me, but my policy still had some years to run. I will pm you more details.0 -
It depends what you mean by a "without profits" policy.
It could be Term Assurance - in which case there is no benefit for you at the end of a policy.
Or it could be a policy which does not have the "benefits" of with profits smoothing - e.g. a unit linked policy - in which case you would be entitled to a cash in benefit.0
