Morning,
I've had this recurring dream over the last 2 weeks and I'm wondering if anyone knows what it could mean as I wake up really panicking, I've not had it every night maybe 4 or 5 times but he other nights I've had really scary nightmares.
Anyway what happens is I'm at school watching my kids in a production, hubby has to leave early so I go to go home alone. I get in the car and drive to the shopping street near us, it's the street but not like it is now, it's full of charity shops and I go in looking and chatting to everyone I see. I get back in the car and start driving, then I feel like I'm being restrained by my seat belt so try and loosen it and it gets tighter, I try and undo it but it gets tighter. I notice then I'm wearing an old fashioned night gown. So I try to pull the car over and the steering wheel falls off and the car is driving itself. I'm panicking and the keys come away and then the pedals etc. I finally manage to free myself of the seat belt and try to open the door, the handles comes away in my hand, I realise I was trying the handle for the back door so try my drivers door and feel relief it opens and I jump out. I then start running to the pub at the end of our street, still in the night gown and some Girls I know of are sat outside having a drink , but they ignore me, a very good friend of mine ones to join them and she ignores me too. I find the landlord and try and explain what happens, he thinks I'm a looney and gets his wife who also thinks I'm mad. A baby starts crying inside and the pair of them go back in, a lady that works behind the bar comes out , she is lovely and kind to me and I feel a sense of relief that someone is listening to what I'm saying........ Then I wake up!!!!!!!
So, anyone any ideas or shall I just sit and wait for the men in white coats to come and carry me offn:rotfl:
Thanks xx

Is your car due its MOT or annual service and you've perhaps forgotten?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Dreams are often our subconscious making sense of what is going on in our lives. Is everything settled and happy in your life or do you have pent up anxiety and worry? Have you gone through a time of change that you are struggling with?
Maybe try changing your evening routine a bit. Cut out caffeine or cheese which can apparently cause strange dreams.
I have been having weird dreams lately too. I use to travel loads and thought nothing of jetting off all over the world. In these dreams I am panicking and struggling to get organised with packing my case, sorting out my documents and then always running late to get to the airport. Partly on purpose because deep down I am scared to go.
There are possibly big changes afoot for me this year that could involve a move and I think it is this that is making me dream this way.
Hope things settle down for you as these dreams can be quite draining cant they. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
OP why did you abandon your kids at school? You left but don't mention what happened to them! :eek:0

I'll tell you what it means. It means absolutely nothing. Dreams are just your brains way of sorting out its hard drive.
These con artists that tell you what dreams mean are nothing more than hood winkers and scammers playing on people gullibility.
It doesn't mean you will die, or you will win the lottery or you ate going on a long journey.
It's absolute clap trap and if you really need to take a reality check.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -

If you look on the narrative of the dream as being an allegory of living in debt, there is powerful symbolisim which interpreted as learning represents mental reinforcement of the need for her to fight her way out of debt.
Now I am not coming at this from a perspective of anything supernatural. Just a bit of computing cybernetics and a bit of psychology. If it is wrong, it is wrong and we move on. If it is right and it helps, then greatYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
go on
The wisest of men mean nothing to people who will not listen
Ah this is near the mark. It is actually part of the learning process laying down long term memory of facts and events and also for strategies for dealing with situations. Some serious science (MIT) here http://io9.com/5940068/neuroscientists-successfully-control-the-dreams-of-rats-could-humans-be-next
???? No one on here takes money or any reward when they interpret dreams. So scamming and con artist definitely does not go with the territory. Although I will agree that there are some around more generally who may hoodwink.
You are almost certainly right about this - although with a bit of interaction on the interpretation, some more amazing and useful things can be uncovered
You may think it clap trap, but OP's dream looks serious enough to me that she is right to take some note of it. I read her dream and I could see debt issues and sure enough, if you read her previous threads, debt does crop up as a big issue in her life. There is no great act of faith nor even a deceiver's manual about this. The imagery of being taken on a journey away from family, losing control and bystanders you know being oblivious is, at an emotional level, reminiscent of so many stories of people on these forums who have fallen into debt.

Looks like you are someone gullible enough to be taken in by all of this claptrap.
But don't spend too much time on here: there are some tea leaves to be read and a pyramid to sit under.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
It sounds to me like you might be worried about being out of control of things and feeling a bit unsupported too?
I've had a similar dream in the past, about being in a car that I couldnt stop, and it was frightening! I can't remember what was going off in my life at the time, but on a very basic level, it seems to be a dream about not being in control of something in your life, and the emotions that go with it.0 -

Gullibility is not only accepting the blatantly false, it is also denying the blatantly obvious. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
