I did the Nutella a few days ago and noticed that it came out as CHOC SPREAD on the receipt. I feared that Quidco would reject it based on what I'd read here so I took a photo with my digital camera of the nutella and the receipt side-by-side. Not sure if it helped but it got accepted. I think from now on I will always take a pic of the product either at the side or behind the receipt to give Quidco some extra evidence that I bought the right thing.

I did think how this worked e.g. andrex toilet tissue coming up as 'toilet roll' on the receipt, etc.

I reckon they use the likes of Tesco Price Promise, Asda Price Guarantee and Sainsbury's Brand Match to enter you receipt details on the website; that way, they can get more details e.g. full name of product, weight. Failing that, they'll probably use My Supermarket. In your case (as an example), there's only one chocolate spread at Tesco that costs £1.50, which is the Nutella 400g jar. So as long as the receipt has the name of the scanned product and price then you should be fine.

    :)

Who is paying this cashback out, TCB or the merchants? It just seems far too quick for the merchants to be paying out when they take weeks/months for internet sales so I think TCB are paying it out. Anyone who has a FB account care to ask the question on TCB page? :)
