Reclaiming on old cerdit card accounts before 2004

Hi everyone, does anybody know if it is possible to reclaim charges from credit card accounts held between 1999 and 2004?@ There is advice on MSE about claiming 6 years back and mention of older accounts but it's not quite clear.
Do the rules mean 6 years back from the present date or does it mean you can claim six years worth on any account regardless of when it was closed. Can we claim if if we have the account numbers?

I'm sorry, but I don't really know how to make it any clearer than the way it is expressed in the MSE article you referred to

You can go back six years in England and Wales or five years in Scotland; these time periods are limited by law.

These periods are from the present date.

No, you can't claim on anything older than six years with or without account details.
