Day & Night Electric meter mix-up

  • We have recently moved to a property with a dual reading digital meter and also found we had diffculty with the R1 R2 readings. Turned out previous owners had a wrong reading 4 years previous and BG have only spotted it when I queried readings on my first bill. Thought I had it all sorted until a 4th bill arrived this morning saying I had not used any night rate from 28/11/12 to 2/1/13!!! The electricity supplier we have just switched to is now EDF and is in dispute with BG over the opening readings and the switch date readings. I am recording all of my readings and dates of phone calls as I can see this is not going to be resolved for some time. There must be hundreds of cases like this.
    Good luck.
