There's something ridiculously addictive about Krispy Kremes!
A little more good news today in that I had an email from Quidco ClickScan and 2 items of shopping I bought on Sunday are eligible for some cashback, so that's 60p!
I also received an invite to trial the new E45 range. Perfect timing as I had body lotion on my shopping list, which can now be crossed off! They're sending 2 full size bottles as part of the trial.
I do love E45 stuff!0 -
Excellent stuff Tops! Especially when timed so well.
My "MIL" is my saving grace like that. I put toilet rolls on the shopping list... we pop over to say hi in the week and she presents us with a giant mega pack of rolls, and other cleaning products she's stashed away for us. Always perfectly timed and massively appreciated!MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

When I think back to this weekend, it's mainly with the weather in mind. Due to the snow my outing on Saturday was cancelled and then the boot sale site stated they were closed due to poor weather. So I had a couple of days at home, which was lovely after rushing around with all the overtime I've had recently.
Yesterday I brought my Mum into London. She'd brought her bags of pennies which turned out to be a huge bag of change! It filled their machine 3 times!!! But the staff were wonderful and reassured us that it was no bother to empty the machine and let her go again, so she added just under £20 to her account.
But because of how long that took we didn't get to Buckinham Palace until around 11:20am and as the Changing of the Guards happens at 11:30 we were too far back to see anything. One plus point was that the new Guards coming in trotted down the Mall so we saw them close up. Mum literally threw her camera at me to take photos and as I'd never used that camera before I wasn't able to zoom or do anything fancy in the time I had but I think she's happy with what I got.
From a money point of view things haven't been bad but have been quiet. Nothing more coming in although I have completed a few surveys so am fairly close to a £5 payout on one. I've also managed to keep back some of my daily budget so, on Friday, the money I have left will be distributed into my home pots.
I also checked the balance of my shop and scan and I have £130 value in there. I don't know if they've always offered Amazon vouchers but they do now so I'll keep those points aside and claim what's in there for Christmas presents. This Christmas will potentially be free for me or very close!
I get paid on Thursday and am also off that day so I'll be home to go through the finances and spreadsheet etc.
This cold weather is wearing me down a bit. I'm not feeling particularly healthy at the moment either so I need to rethink the fab! Fortunately I've not put any weight on, but I haven't lost any in a long time either. So the Easter Weekend for me will be about making improvements.
I did give up chocolate for Lent, which I haven't really benefited from as I've not really reduced my sugar intake, I've just changed it's source! So on Sunday that restriction lifts, but I think these past couple of months have highlighted more about my sugar wants than a chocolate addiction. Something to think about while I'm working out what improvements to make.
The great thing is it's a short week for most people and that's definitely something to celebrate!0 -
Sounds like you've been thinking- A LOT!
All sounds good though Tops.
I'm with you on the sugar intake saga. I gave up giving up things for lent. (Once someone told me to try taking up something new for Lent instead, to see it as a beneficial act instead of a sacrifice, liked that although havent achieved it yet)
That's looking great for a cheap if not freebie Christmas! Well done you!MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

Wow! I knew I'd been away a while, but didn't really just how long!
Lots of updates, which I'll sort out this weekend!0
