what does the paperwork say is included for the price your daughter has been paying. If that says inclusive then tell them to take a hike. If it just says lenses you may be on a less secure footing. Is it a chain or an independent optician?

Independent, my Daughter tells me that she has used the same optician for the last 10 years or so, it seems they stopped charging for the fluid 3 years ago when they once again increased their charges. It seems that they are now saying that they did not increase them sufficiently.

You are being really vague about what the documentation actually says. If they clearly used to charge separately for the fluid and clearly increased the charges for the lenses only whilst no longer listing the fluid then your daughter probably does owe the money. If it has always been an all inclusive price with products not itemised that is a different matter. Really it might be best if your daughter posts and clarifies the situation instead of us getting vague third hand information from you and risking giving a bum steer.

If this is the case, then they have no case. Their pricing structure is their responsibility, if they get it wrong it's their problem.
