tes i would say either you and oh go out for a nice evening (doesnt have to be expensive) or save it for xmas0

How much do you spend on Xmas Tes?
Can I come to yours this year? :j0 -
I'm gonna go against the majority and say I would put it towards the debts
Sorry, but I would want them gone asap and then look forward to the xmas you can buy what you like without the debt around your neck
Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000
Mortgage Overpayments Pot £5340 -
I'd put it towards Christmas
Is your son finishing further education? Because it can now be paid until 20 ifh he's still at college!
I didnt know that but whether he continues depends very much on his AS results this year. :rolleyes:The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -

There was big setback this year because my son said he wanted a laptop for Christmas and I expected to pay about £300 odd for the cheapest one but instead my OH bought him a really expensive one for £800 . After he did this Christmas was ruined for me because I knew we would have to spend the same on my daughter or it wouldnt be fair. Then there was everything else, the food I ordered came to £250 . I suppose I wanted us to have a really good time as we hadnt for so long. Then there were all the presents and the January sales for my presents (needed clothes badly), then of course there was the loss of his earnings and of course we still needed to go on paying all the bills in spite of him being off for two weeks. Then shortly after Christmas, just as we were getting on our feet again he did his back in and he had to take 5 days off (that includes the weekend).
This year there is no way I am going to repeat my mistakes. I am not going to exceed the money I have saved all year. I will have to stop the debt payments to make up for his loss in wages but even so, there is no way the debts are going to increase this year or we will be back to square one. :mad:The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
Oh and yes SS, you are very welcome to come. Turkey and all the trimmings. As much booze as you can drink and chocolates till they come out of your ears. Etc.......The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
