yet the super aldi dont offer home delivery so they not that super.
Clearly the person showing the web page was ordering online hence using a big name supermarket.
So you cant label us all that way.

And, as you'll see from one of the other recent links, it's precisely because they don't deliver that they can keep their prices so low and undercut Tesco by around 30% on pretty much identical goods.
I'm happy to forego delivery, and the other delights of our dirty, scruffy Tesco for the speed and cheapness of shopping at the nice new Aldi just down the road from it.0 -
Most Tesco customers are every bit as stupid as Tesco assume them to be.
With prices around 30% lower in Aldi and Lidl for very much the same food, made in the same processing plants, it constantly amazes me that people ever set foot in Tesco - particularly given their constantly deceitful pricing tricks.
I really wish that I had the option of ALdi or Lidl - sadly neither are any where near - and as others have already said, they don't deliver.
Often, Tescos is the 'lesser of the evils' when needing an online delivery.0 -
If you hate t's so much you should play them at their own game. I won't cut my nose off to spite my face and refuse to shop there. Correct i do not like the supermarkets but i will use them. I only buy reduced items, cheap & healthy-ish cereals. Nowhere else can you get cornflakes for 31p a box. Beans when on offer for £1 etc. Frozen veg but i mostly get this is asda.
I like to see the supermarkets as my challenge and ensure i don't get sucked into fake deals- i bet they don't make a profit out of me.0 -
I've got a collection of photos of their ballsed up offer stickers on my old phone..like fozziebeartoo says, 50p each or 3 for £2 and so on. Unfortunately our town only has a Tesco, Iceland and Budgens, so stuck with them (I know I could buy online but so much more convenient to pop into town when we need bits)
Mind you, they're not the only ones.. (second pair in from the left!)0 -
I have never used tesco online.
The tescos here are super huge old superstore we used to shop at doubled in size over 2floors cant be bothered.
We shop sainsburys/lilds/co-op as nearest
get ocado/waitrose online
or sometimes venture morrsions and drive 20mins to nearest aldo although new aldi opens up next week so will shop there more .
Im trying this year support the independents.
reckon meat from butchers
veg from aldi/lilds/green grocer, milkman or market.
frozen-find farmfoods best but 20min drive.
poundshops for household/toilitries or boots/superdrug.
co-op for reductions
lilds for weekend deals.
healthfood shop for eggs and lentils.

Tesco used to be reasonably priced years ago - and then it all changed with a new CEO!!! Now it's stupid expensive, with offers that are simply not good value- for example- my favourite sausages £1 in Asda, £1 in my local garage, Tesco? - 2for £3 or £1.99. They are just plain gready and not worth any business. Get it sorted Tesco or loose your customers to Asda, Lidl and Aldi.

Please don't use such broadbrush terms to describe those of us that do use Tesco - you have no way of backing up that first sentence!
Firstly, some of us have very little choice. Where I live I can walk with an old fashioned shopping trolley to the only two supermarkets in town - Tesco and to some extent B&M - to access any of the others, be it the Aldi/Lidl discounters or Asda/Morrison mainstream is a 13 mile drive each way or 35 minutes on a bus. As we eat mostly non processed food, we shop 2 - 3 times a week, so the added cost of avoiding Tesco is simply not viable.
Tesco is no different from the other major supermarkets, they all use the same book of tricks and traps, and as ever buyer beware applies - we simply set a price we are willing to pay and (carefully) use the various offers to our advantage.
And yes I'd love to use my local shops, quite simply I cannot afford to do so as virtually all the food I buy is either dearer in them, or of a much lower freshness or quality.
Finally, in case anyone thinks so, no I am not a Tesco cheerleader, just don't like the continual poorly thought out "bash them at all costs" attitudes that keep being displayed against Mr T. when all the other majors are equally as bad.0
