  • You can, any compensation you receive will first go towards any amounts written off due your DMP though.

but don't bother asking for T&Cs on closed accounts and any potential redress can be applied against any amount that was written off your original debt.

  • Thanks for replies been helpful read that egg has been taken over by barclaycard so I will try ringing them in morn,
I understand that anything I do get will have to go towards my debts which is good as I pay off sooner,
Got told I needed it as I was more likely to be approved if I had it can only try
    Thanks again :) x

Barclaycard only took over active accounts, so if yours was finished by then, you need to contact egg at canada square or derby.
Egg mostly sold online or by post so are you sure you spoke to someone?

Ok I will leave it seems like a waste of time but thanks for ev1s response :) x
  • Just my opinion but If you think you paid for it then claim for it! Even if you go through a claims company you will still get 75% of what you said goodbye to years ago. There are a lot of people on here that seem to be dead against PPI claimants who have obviously worked for banks in the past but don't let them put you off claiming. You have nothing to lose...claim..claim..claim!!!!

OP ignore this. This poster just seems to put up the same unhelpful post telling people to use claim companies. If you had PPI and believe it was mis-sold/have a valid reason, put a complaint in yourself. Don't let a CMC post your claim for you and charge you for the privilege.
