Great News, glad you took the advice on board about the certificate.
Rare as well for Mags court to take this defence on, usually an appeal court job.Be happy...;)0 -
Hello the case called in court on 21 March, I was not required to attend as I had previously attended and left my evidence/defence of the no insurance charge, received all my paperwork back last week and phoned the court to hear that the case had been dropped, so I was not driving without insurance and I won. the next move is to get an apology from the insurer or take it to the ombudsman.
Are you taking the mick, it wasnt their fault you live between two addresses or that you didnt pay your premiumsDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -
in defence of an insurer ? ha ha I paid my premium in full but you are right i did'nt pay the additional premium. My point is that in the time we live in mail is unreliable and it is unacceptable to cancel a policy on the assumption that the customer has received post when we have phones, email and fax on hand. was it reasonable in a previous course of dealings for the insurer to request that i fax my proof of ncd (which i did) then deny receiving it ? of course not.0

Surprised it wasn't sent recorded delivery. But worked out well for you in the end, interesting read. Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0

hi, the final notice to cancel the policy was sent by recorded delivery but I did not receive it, someone unknown signed for it not me, the insurer produced this as evidence of receipt but it was clearly not my signature. In my opinion the insurers are a licensed cartel behaving like a company from the 1930's, not the 21st century when I asked them why they did not phone or email me they said "we dont have time to do that we use the post"0
