Cost of fitted wardrobes

Hello,

I would like to build fitted wardrobes into two alcoves in the bedroom, but the alcoves aren't quite deep enough so the wardrobes would need to come out a little. I have found some doors that would fit, but wondered what the likely cost of having the frame built would be (the alcoves are approx 110cm wide, 270 tall, and 40 cm deep) and we are in London.

Unless you particularly want to use the doors that you have found I would let a cabinet maker do everything from scratch.

Fully enclosed (MDF) units would be about £2000 fitted and painted, depending on style, fittings and location.

I can recommend a cabinet maker (based in West London) whose work I often paint if you want. Alternatively ask friends for recommendations.

Note that cabinet makers are not carpenters, and visa-versa. 9 times out of 10 I can spot the difference.

I can't estimate cost but we used Spacesavers to fit some wardrobes for us and they were very good.
