Section 13 notice

Im in a rolling monthly contract, have been since mid 2008. My LA wants to increase the rent which I am fine with. Should he be issuing me with a Section 13 notice to do this though? He says not, council says yes. Can someone tell me who is right please.

Nick - I am seriously dissappointed!

I hoped we had found a letting agent willing and able to contribute positively to the forum.

Have you come here
1) to learn about letting law
2) to advise or
3) to stick up for agents in the face of consistant negative posts about them?

If 1) you've entered the profession too soon -learn the law before you start (& don't use a public forum for training)

If 2) please don't till you are sure what you are talking about

If 3) .... as 2) above!
