Collect plus , false advertising

  • Ok....well they don't make this clear that they will leave in a safe place if nobody was in..... that's more to my point about false advertising. Although now, since yesterday they may have made this more clearer due to the option of paying to gain a signature. A little more infornation was needed as they would not have received my custom had I known.... that's all.
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D

Re the false advertising. Are you saying that as they showed that for Ebay purchases up to £150, they would cover you?

If so, then proof of delivery is all that is needed and that can be 'in safeplace' etc. It doesn't need a signature.

A signature is only needed when the sale is for £150 or more.

All you had to do was provide the tracking that showed delivery - and no refund was required.

The fact you have dug deeper and helped the buyer prove none-delivery is between you, them and collect plus.

Ebay and Paypal did not request a signature (which proves little if someone else in the house signs) - so that means you WERE covered by collect plus - as stated.

I'm sorry but I actually care about my customers....yes I know I would probs win a Paypal dispute, the buyer hasn't opened one....but I have a conscience!

My guess is that their driver just dumped the item at some random address. This has happened to us before when we have ordered things, they just put in false details so they can pretend it has been delivered.

It is completely unacceptable, a courier that cannot reliably deliver things is useless and a waste of time.
