unfortunately i'm like davy i use a couple of programs that use java

Jdownloader < JavaDownloader
then of course theres both the free office suites, openoffice etc.

Uninstalled Java a week or so back, no sign of any issues so far, so hopefully I don't have anything that will miss it.

It seems to vary whether it does that or not. It's not a good thing though...
