Window washing

Hi,
I live in a standard two storey house and want to clean my own windows. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good and reasonably priced extendable washing pole (water fed) similar to the ones window cleaners use.
There are loads on the net of all different prices so any recommendations to narrow it down would be great. :T

Those water fed systems are quite expensive. I assume you dont mean the £10 pole with a cloth and rubber strip on it as they pretty rubbish if you want a decent finish. I tried several and in end opted for window cleaner for upstairs windows and I use a karcher vacuum window cleaner thing and some spray/micro fibre cloths for downstairs I get a great finish with this on mine0

Thanks for your reply. Yip, I've tried loads of those rubbish cheap extendable poles and I'm looking for some substantial. I figured that if I get a half decent one I can do all of m windows and the money that I save on he window cleaner will pay for a decent water fed pole. I just don't know what kind to buy.0

Th reason the long poles work for professional window cleaners is because they use 'pure' or 'filtered' water which shouldn't leave any streaks when it dries. Although I am still dubious about their claims.
But trying to do this DIY with water from the tap is a waste of money in my opinion. Spend the money on a three section ladder and stand off instead and get up close and personal with the window for a better finish.0 -
Thanks Jimbo. I totally agree with you on that. However, I live in an area with super soft water so the tap water has no lime in it making it great for washing. That was the reason for thinking about the water fed pole as its less hassle that getting the ladder out.
Thanks for your reply though.0
