    Google says 'Yes'.
  • Yes, several Trusts will be carrying out PIP assessments. Makes the DWP look incredibly inefficient, rather than working with the NHS to produce a cost effective partnership they appoint a (very expensive) middle man!

Yes but being efficient and saving money at the same time would be out of character for the DWP.

I'm off to bed now with a big smile!!!

If the NHS are using the Healthcare Assistants that they already employ, the whole thing will end up in chaos.
These people have had 2 weeks of training, are probably studying for NVQ1 in Healthcare with limited skills and experience!!

No I can't see that happening??? Maybe the OT's in the hospitals will do it. Those like the ones that pronounced my 78 year old widowed aunt fit to go home after spending 7 weeks in bed in hospital and having walked a total of 50 steps in all that time. They discharged her into her own care at 11.15pm. They wheeled her out to a taxi and put her in it. We wouldn't have known anything about it had it not been for her telephoning mum at midnight saying that the house was freezing!
  • It shows how much the government is giving to ATOS that they can subcontract NHS. No wonder the people are struggling and big companies making millions.
If it ever got to the point where i have no money to eat. I would go to the police station and break something to get myself arrested. Atleast i would get a warm cell and food and if everyone who get SANCTIONED by the job center did that than the government would have to change there policy about sanctioning so many people on the work program.

The jobs advertised in Manchester were for band 6 to assess and train other assessors. This is experienced qualified practitioners. They also later ran adverts for band 5 - also qualified practitioners so there isn't any recruitment of hca's.
I have to say that I was tempted but only so that I could see what the process was for when I go through it. Perhaps I could have assessed myself :rotfl:
