I have bought a £100 of travel vouchers via ebay in sellers name , seller says no problem using to book travel, is this the case or am I able to get around this difficulty, or not useable at all?

Not great news re confidence in their system, but everyones account seems at risk theses days. I have the name and address of the seller, plus they are still on ebay.

Maybe to answer my own question, Tesco say only vouchers/tokens issued to a the account holder can be used by that account holder, but I do know I've used coded tokens issued to a friends account in the past to buy things.....help!!??

I don't think you will be able to use them.Using them for restaurants or shopping is different than using them to book a holiday as you have to send the vouchers to them so they will see the different name.
Sorry I'm assuming it is holiday.

They definitely won't allow you to transfer Clubcard points to Avios unless the names on the two accounts match (I've just had that problem), although I'm pretty sure they let me transfer some to Virgin miles without an issue which is a bit confusing! Not sure about other travel rewards where you're using vouchers but I'd be a bit wary.
  • Oh well.....back they go to the seller, hoping she refunds me, thanks all!

They won't let you, basically Tesco clamped down on this about 12 or so months ago, its the person or persons named on the tesco vouvher who can get the deals -

I know from experience as i've had to remove my father from the clubcard as 2nd person and replace with me so i can transfer them into holiday vouchers.

If the seller is funny, I would also involve ebay - as its all common knowledge about this and I don't think ebay should allow them to be sold on. (thats my opinion).

If was a day trip to the zoo you may well have got away with it, but a hol not. (sorry) x
