Hi,
Does any one know what the next steps are:
I have applied for an open university course and I have a student finance number.
It did ask when I enrolled how I intend to pay for my course to which I checked the student finance box.
I received 5 course books last Friday from the OU.
Does this mean I have been accepted for finance?
I work 35 hrs a week and earn £10,000 per annum, will i need to send I.D
How long will it take for me to get a letter from the finance team as I cannot currently login to my account to see what is happening and the course is due to start April 2013 so I'm worried my finance might not be sorted in time.
Thanks in advance

I have just managed to login to my student finance page and it says that I need to sort the finance out with Open University.
How does this work? and how do I get the finance applied for and sorted before april 2013 when my course starts0 -

Call the OU and ask them. I have just recently finished my OU degree and they are usually very helpful when you call.0 -

I have called the OU and they have told me I need to call student finance England.
I am confused as I registered with them and got my CRN number but when I try to apply online for finance it asks me if the course is with the OU and then advises me I need to contact the OU about finance to which they reply I can apply online a student finance??0 -
So did you telephone Student Finance England as advised? Did you read the Student Finance and Open University websites carefully for any funding advice? Found in two minutes on Google

Hi,
I have logged into my student finance page and opted for the part time student finance option as my course with the OU states it is part time, it let me actually fill out the form this time.
Before, I clicked on applying for full time finance so it is probably my fault and mistake.
It states I need to send in a copy of my birth certificate but my status on the finance page has now changed and seems to be ok, it took me around 30 mins to complete.
Recieved an email advising I have applied and I will now be awaiting a decision.
Do the SFC take ages to process once they have recieved my birth certificate?0 -
Changes through the year depending how busy they are, why don't you ask Student Finance England what the expected timescale is? Also not meaning to be rude but learning to use Google effectively is a key skill when you study at degree level, it really is not taking me any time at all to find these links https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-student-financeDeclutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
