bank loan? can we claim

hello everyone, please excuse me if i didn't thank anyone for their replies, i don't know how to find the msgs i have sent !!!
now, back last year, we were overdrawn, the bank said we must take out a consolidation loan or lose our account? was this lawful, yes we signed the paperwork but to be honest the interest rate is really high, i went to the bank and they say we will review in 3 months, every 3 months they say there is nothing they can do for us?

Yes it's lawful, but not particularly good banking practice. You could try complaining to the Financial Ombudsman stating that you were pressured in to the loan by the threat of losing your account.
