You cannot claim it back. What you do is make a complaint to the company that sold it to you that it was missold in some way.
A furniture seller was unlikely to have been regulated pre January 2005, so the chances are better after that date. If it was sold prior to this date and the seller is out of business, you're out of luck also.
If out of business post this date, you got to the FSCS.

Were you missold or did you buy and have now changed your mind?
If you weren't missold then it was your choice at the time.

  • Its for sofas bought recently and one in 2007,we were sold the ppi but the company made us seem like we needed it when actually both me and my partner were both working full time with no health problems ect?
The company is still going stong.

Both working and no health problems are not a reason for a miss sale.

Are you actually sure you have it.

'Pretty sure' isnt 100% and you have to have a provable reason for a miss sale.

If you dont want it, cancell it.

You always have the option to say no, only you know if you need it or not and should not be coerced into buying something you don't need!

Sounds like you went along with it twice if you did it in 2007 and recently, why would you do it again a second time if you didn't think you needed it.

They are reasons to have it. It would be a mis-sale if you were in poor health and not working part time.
