My variegated acer is losing its variegation

This is called "reversion", it won't harm the plant but if you want to keep it variegated you need to prune all the plain bits or else the whole plant will turn back plain.0

Some of the leaves on my variegated Acer are just green (without the whiter edging). Is this a problem?
Additionally, as the completely green leaves will have more chlorophyll than the variegated ones, those branches will grow more vigorously. You then may well be left with a lopsided tree.

Reversion is often the case with 'Acer', just keep removing the non-variegated parts. NB The growing medium being too fertile can also promote reversion!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0
