problem with Amazon gift certificate balance?

hi there,

just wondered if anyone else had noticed a problem with their balance of amazon gift certificates? my mums just started doing juicybrain surveys etc and when she saw me last a few months back i helped her redeem it so the credit of £5 was in her account ready for her next amazon order

she's just rang me saying she cannot see it and ive logged into her account and it's gone and theres nothing in her recent orders so i know she's not used it

furthermore, ive logged into my account just now and my £15 credit i've been building up is now showing zero aswell

i have just emailed amazon but ive never had cause to contact them before so ive no idea if they'll even bother replying back or how good they are

any thoughts/ideas or has anyone else noticed the same thing? please could you check your account and see if the same has happened...

My gift certificate balance is showing correctly. Amazon are quite good at responding to e-mails but quite often you just get a standard reply. You can also phone them now on 0800 2796620.

Helix cheers for that, I've just tried them and apparantly I've rang outside their business hours (Mon-Sat, 8am till 6pm) so I'll call them Tuesday after the BH :D

I never knew they were so easy to contact over the phone!

aye deffo .co.uk, have checked that for me mum aswell. I was hoping everyone would have the same problem which would mean it was an error/fault their end but it's not sounding that way at the moment

I don't tend to put them in the account balance until I need to use them. Instead I print them off (as well as saving them on my PC) and then keep them in date expiry date order.

That way I try to ensure I use the ones that are closest to expiry first, and (hopefully!) don't forget when they run out.

Not the case; the e-vouchers themselves have a limited validity (I think it is 6 months), but once you stick them into your account they last indefinitely.
