Asus laptop in for repair after 7.5 weeks

Any advise please. My sister got an Asus laptop 8th Dec12 from Tesco. On 30th Jan 2013 the WiFi stopped working, contacted Tesco they couldn't sort it so had to ring Asus who arranged colection. They have had it since then and are saying they are still waiting for parts and expect an ETA on parts by end of this week. Rang Tesco and they are saying that they have to give Asus 28 days to repair. This seems and awful long time to be without a laptop. What are her rights can she ask Tesco to replace or do we have to wait the 28 days?

She can Ask, but it's unlikely to get her anywhere.
Best bet is wait 28 days then complain.0 -
