Praise Carphone Warehouse and Apple

On saturday afternoon I dropped my iphone on the floor and smashed it. Oops 
. I quickly went to carphone warehouse as my insurance is through them. They sorted my claim, took my phone off me (felt like I'd lost my right arm!!!) and said my new phone should arrive on tuesday. I got a call today it had arrived!!
Unfortunately the problem arose when I went to pick it up that I had previously had the phone swapped by apple due to a fault in its first year, but I didnt update my phone insurance with the new phone IMEI. Something I never thought to do.
In essence I was putting in a claim for damaging a phone I dont have had. My heart sank as I had visions of being told that I couldnt have a new phone due to insurance being invalid or something.
I couldnt be more wrong the staff were really helpful, said all I needed was an invoice/reciept for the swap - not something I had. So we came up with the plan of calling the Apple shop at Meadowhall and asking them if they had a record. Within 10 mins they had emailed it to me and I passed it on to CPW and I have a new phone!!!!
Hurrah!!!!! So big :j:j for CPW and Apple. Have already emailled both of them saying how happy I am!
And a cautionary tale to anyone that has swapped their phone, update your insurance!!!! This seems so obvious to me now, but didn't cross my mind at the time!
