I'll join in, if I may?

I'm trying to get my weekly shop from £100+ per week to £60. I'll have to start from my food shop today, I spent £32.46. It's going to be £222.85 for March.

That's enough food for the next 4 days and we're out for Sunday so I'm quite pleased. I bought an extra pack of sausages too to take advantage of Sainsburys 3 for £10. They'll go in the freezer for next week.

I used a bonus nectar point vouchers, an extra 600 points and I received a voucher for 9p off from the price match, £6 off a £60 shop, 200 points on fruit and veg and 400 points on meat.

I save so much when I shop without my family!

    Hello all!

Congratulations Suze on the new addition! Wonderful news, and may Oliver sleep through the night within the month x

I'm up to £15.10 from my budget this month, due to what seems like all the remote control batteries dying at once, my bathroom lightbulb going, and a visit to the pound shop to get some lunchable items for the week! So far, I'm doing dinners from freezer stores, and have gone through the cupboards to work out what I need to use up first. I've even roasted off a ham to use for sandwiches today til Friday (and beyond) rather than buy pre sliced stuff. I'm pretty sure I'll need to raid somewhere for veggies by the weekend, but for now, I'm managing to live out of the freezer!

It is really hard though. I've had to do a Not Shopping list, with all the stuff I already have and do not need to buy on it to stop myself buying bits on autopilot. It really is like being on a diet!

Happy Wednesday lovelies, we can see the weekend from here!
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hello all!

Week one has been a success so far. Have spent all of my £50 weekly budget (though the small change from shopping trips has gone in the savings pot so really I've spent less) and if we can survive til Friday (which we should) I'll be bang on target :D

Seem to have spent a fortune since joining the challenge

    Asda £43.99
    Tesco £ 12.36
    Butchers £ 3.23

Total spends so far £59.58 /£550

Still haven,t done a big shop trying to hold out till Friday so i can visit Aldi. really need to think about developing my stores the freezer is looking rather bare. Got a few little yellow sticker ed items in asda yesterday so that's a start. Got to buy Shampoo, veggies and hopefully some yellow stickered bread later. Trying to stick to cash only from now on find a debit card is lethal when i go food shopping am far too easily tempted.

Had to go against everything I believe in and do an online order for Mr T - I hate using them but my DD is ill and I can't get out to the shops. My house is like a shanty town at the moment! Anyhow, was careful what I got and ended up with £67.36 so could have been a lot worse.
