Has your renault clio developed a stalling problem?

my mrs was bought a Y reg clio a few years ago now and after a year it started to stall when she slowed down to a roundabout or when in traffic. the engine management light kept coming on as well.
to cut a long and pricey story to a short, renault replaced the MAP sensor twice and it went ok for a bit then started the problem again. the trouble is renault keep diagnosing different problems and their bills are looking horrendous.
because the fault codes are cleared the proble, goes away for some months or happens rarely, not enough for someone at renault to see the problem so at the risk of starting a long thread, any renault clios drivers out there had the same problem?
