The Vegas thread is a good place to ask.
It will depend on what you have paid and what it says on your invoice0 -

It will depend on what contract your travel agent has used for the specific hotel you have booked. You are best checking with your travel agent. Maybe mention that they hadn't said anything to you too.Happy

Agree with above as some expect you to pay these direct to the hotel (hotel web site and Expedia) yet some tour operators seem to have negotiated that no resort fees are payable (Virgin Holidays). Could be that your travel agent has booked a similar deal without you having to pay these extra costs.0

details of the resort fee can be found here

Daily Resort Fee
A daily resort fee of $15.00 (subject to applicable lodging tax) will be added to the guest room account and includes the following: Free wired high-speed Internet service in the guest room; free access to the fitness center; free incoming faxes; daily newspaper; free domestic and long distance phone calls and 2 free drinks per stay.
Agree with the others that we can't say whether you will have to pay them or not - will depend on whether your booking includes the resort fee or not...for some (like us) they aren't really that much of an issue as we would get some benefit out of it...for others it's just an additional charge for nothing...when we pay for internet at the hotels we stay at in Vegas it's nearly $15/day...though we do not necessarily use it every day.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Thanks for your comments i will ring travel agents up when they open.

I use www.resortfees.com which lists which resorts have charges and don't forget that the fee themselves are taxed at 12%.0

They are only "free" if you pay the resort fee, otherwise they are chargeable.0

Hi we booked up with a travel agent
There's your first mistake
and she never mentioned any [STRIKE]dela [/STRIKE]fees we might incur,
How surprising (NOT)
has anyone got any details on these fees and will we have to pay them?
Regards
Ollie
At check-in argue (politely) that you will not use any of the "services" provided by the "Fee", stick to your guns and they may waive it.
Next time, book it yourself, look at the Vegas thread for TONS of info0
