How much did your reception venue cost?

Ours is £3500 to hire the whole venue (barn, 6 bedrooms, kitchens, lounge areas & grounds) for 3 days. We have then had to organise caterers and everything else on top of that.

Or venue hire is £550 then the food and drink comes to around £4k for 100 people.

Our venue alone is £4000 and then another £5000 for food.

Weddings can be as cheap or expensive as you make them from what I've discovered.

Ours was £1500 to hire for the day. £36 per head for a three course wedding breakfast, £11 per head for a full drinks package and £20 per head for a hog roast in the evening

just to chuck in my 2p..
our venue alone is £1500 for 4 hours on a saturday night in july. No food, no drink (and will be having to use their approved caterers )
That said, it is a gorgeous Paddle steamer sailing up the Thames

I think ours worked out around £150/head for land, marquees, staff, furniture, food and drink...
