Using too much Gas ?

How much do you use?
I'd have thought a provider would be happy to sell you as much as you want, so long as you pay for it - on time and without being chased. What have they got to lose?0 -
its gotta be a windupDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

This actually isn't as daft as it sounds, but is still a problem. Potentially, the 'AQ' (annual quantity) value for the supply point has been registered as greater that 72,000kWh a year and this can cause rejections during the acquisition process. This because any supply point with a AQ of 72,000 or greater is classed as 'large site' and not domestic.
If this is the case, your supplier needs to challenge the AQ on the national database. Once this has been done, you should be able to switch.
I hope that helpsEx BG complaints veteran of 6 years!0 -
But how would a family of four, unless living in a stately home, use in excess of 72,000 kWh of gas pa?
That would result in a gas bill approaching £3,000pa!No free lunch, and no free laptop

I'm not saying they actually are using that amount, just if the AQ value is incorrectly set as over 72,000kWh, it would cause the problem described.
Thats why if it is incorrect, it needs to be challenged to get the problem resolved.Ex BG complaints veteran of 6 years!0 -
Working off the memory banks -Not that reliable these days - I recall that some suppliers, First Utility ?, do have limitations on both minimum and maximum levels of use when signing up customers0
