Should I be worried?

No, nothing like that, I've never had a credit application rejected. From what others are saying though, I guess it's just a marketing tactic that isn't linked to any specific info about me. I just found it strange, as although I've received such offers before, I've never had one which was worded like this, and with an interest rate I wouldn't touch with a bargepole!
To be fair a high APR doesn't necessarily mean a card isn't of any use even if you are not building/rebuilding your record The Aqua card has 3% cashback and a similar APR. That is therefore a very good cashback card when paying the balance in full.
Agreed that the high rate and no incentive on the Capital One means it is only useful for those building or rebuilding, as the document said, and not for most people including you.0 -
Cap One does have some incentive; I have one (unsurprisingly paid off in full every month!) for the Equifax membership. It's each to their own really.
Plus as with other companies, sometimes the offer they make is better than the advert you respond to. not that I'd suggest applying 'for the sake of it' but you know what I mean.0 -

That particular card doesnt seem to have incentives though as it appears to be a building/rebuilding card. Not all Capital One cards have an equifax membership incentive.0
