Its slightly reassuring that some people have recieved orders they paid something for. I hope they come! Thanks
They came today, so pleased, they are lovely and a great bargain at £1. I am very impressed with John Lewis for honouring the orders.

Surely no one 'needs' one of those. You just remember how much you cooked last time, and if there was loads left over you cook less next time, or if your husband and 2 of your 4 kids had bolognese sauce but no spaghetti last time you know you need to cook more blooming spaghetti in future!!! (of the organic variety....obviously)
Sorry...but if we only ever got a freebie because we needed it, well, the vast majority of us would never use the freebies board at all.
Well done to all those who got something....if it made you smile and brightened you day a little....then that is need, and excuse, enough in my opinion!!
I feel a virtual spanking coming my way!!! :rotfl:
I totally agree with you; I nearly ordered something myself. I did say if you fancy it, get it! If it makes your life easier then great. It just winds me up when people grab stuff just because it's free and then never use it!
I won't name names but there are already a couple of posts which basically say they bought the last £5 things they could find but have no idea what to do with them!
By the way how much spaghetti do kids eat?! My 18 month old niece has just developed teeth and a voracious appetite!Aiming to pay off mortgage by my 30th birthday... £39438 to go!
