I would say that she means that she wants a definition of what is a "reasonable length of time" to keep the buyer of her property waiting before they can start the buying process.
On reading my way around this point on various threads over last couple of days, I would say that that "reasonable length of time" in most peoples opinions would be up to 2 months if need be.
I would think that would be on the flexible side if need be (maybe a few more weeks say) if the vendor had particular problems in finding the place they want because they had, for instance, a combination of there's no rented property to speak of in the location they are going to anyway and/or they were particularly averse to renting and/or the situation of finding a place they wanted was made more difficult by not being able to afford the full range of properties they want in the location they are going to (ie only being able to choose from amongst the cheaper properties there on their Want List).0
