How does all that work?
Are you and your "generation" really this stupid?
I don't understand how any of your above post is good news.
Vast majority of my contemporaries have made much equity in leaps and bounds and I cant think of any that doesn't feel this is a positive.
Having several hundred grand in equity is a nice cushion if the wheels fall off, it also acts as an achievment marker in thier minds. Some will downsize to a cheaper place one day, some already moved out of London and were able to buy a lovely country pad and often have only a small mortgage thatks to thier London HPI. Others have used this cushion to help start a business, buy a villa, invest in B2L.
It took me yonks of striving to get my first place in 91, so this thing about it being significantly harder now, I dunno......0 -
House prices for the win
Let then sail onwards and up wards. I salute the house price and march to its beat. Hpc chain gang members weep into thier cornflakes for the great homeowner will not sell his castle for a reduced rate. 3 cheers, send for the marching band!
Haha great post.

Priceless.
Another strawman argument, shortchanged. You really don't have anything to debate about do you?
I know you're smarting from numerous defeats in the debating arena, but deary me. I'm embarrassed for you, I really am.

it moves up and down all over the place but it rarely shows a sustained fall.
when the bubble burst & all of NW, Halifax, LR, tanked down by 10-20% or whatever, RM just sort of stayed the same for a bit & then fell very slightly.
showing, i suppose, that there wasn't really all that much of a fall in initial asking prices, not in teh same way as there was for sold. which kind of makes sense.FACT.0 -
That would make sense, would I be right to believe the percentage of asking price achieved has drop over time? is this recorded anywhere?
Logical says it must have done as the RM index doesn't seem to be keep pace with the LR index.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Hometrack do track % of asking price achieved

Looks like we're in a two year trend of increasing % asking price being achieved. Not looked at how they work this out though.0 -

Making a packet of money is not always good for you (but often is).30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0
