We have purchased a business run from a small rented unit where the landlord has installed sub meters for electricity and informed us the rate we will be paying is 20p per kilowatt hour.
We have not yet signed tenancy agreement and need to know more about rights on this - are they allowed to make a profit selling on electricity like this? What is a competitive business rate for lecky anyone please? Do we have right of access to see this meter - is not in our actual unit...help!

a good rate would be 14p - 15p for a small consumer. There are maximum reselling rates but not sure what they are.If a man does not keep pace with his companions, then perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away. thoreau0

Its a business unit, different rates of contract and standing chargesDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -
