Icesave - only two DDs?

Hi all

When I opened my Icesave account, I was told I could nominate up to three linked accounts, so I nominated three.

Recently I decided to change one of them so I logged on and deleted one, then filled in a DD mandate and posted it.

Today I received a letter saying they couldn't set it up because I'm only allowed two linked accounts. Eh? When did this come about?

It's definitely still 3 Suze because this morning I did printout and sent the additional linked accounts form and it does state three.

Has the account you deleted disappeared from the list of those nominated ?

The one I deleted has gone. I've looked at the Help pages and they say you can only have two as well. Never mind...

I too tried to add a third but was told that I could not do so , however, it is quite posible to send money to the account via internet banking from your 'third' account.

    Hope this helps.

You can pay from any account into ICESAVE, linked or not. Try £1 to test it out. I've done it from my Barclays current account which is not linked.

How did you manage to do this? Don't you need an ICESAVE sort code and account number?

I also had this problem. I had 3 linked accounts, but wanted to change one. I deleted it and tried to add another one, but they were too slow and hadn't deleted it by the time they received my request form (some week and a half later) - therefore the request was rejected as they said I still had 3 linked accounts.

I tried it again a few weeks later and got the 2 maximum linked accounts letter back this time! They pay a good rate of interest but their turnaround times and inconistency in dealing with requests is naff.

Still, it's easy enough to do a BACS transfer using the standard account number and sort code, and all you have to do is add your personal account number in the 'Ref' box and it'll go in, as others have said.
