sky refusing to take my months notice

Options
to start with let me state that some off this is my fault. i put the sky money into the wrong bank account, didnt realise till today when i couldnt get some channels and checked to see what was happening.

paid the missed bill straight away, set up dd again. then rang sky.
i appologised and asked to be turned back on.
they told me the new bill had been issued for march 1st, and the dd needs 14 days to sort so it will be late.
no probs said i , i will ring march 1st and pay the bill.
we will turn it back on then then. so you want me to pay for a service i havnt had yet and if i dont u wont let me have the service your going to charge me for anyway.

right no problems but i think u treat customers of 2 + years very badly can u put me through to cancelations please .

no u owe this money (due march 1st) and so we cant accept your months notice.its in the tc;s . ok can you please send me this in writing , no we cant not our policy too.

grrrrrrrrr

so i will pay their money early tomorrow and get rid of the @*(&^%&% once and for all

rant over thanks

if its in the ts & cs which you accepted at time (and are no doubt available online) then you wont be able to cancel until you pay surely?

Make sure you cancel in writing. They chased me for years to get what they claimed I owed per their T&Cs.

They will not reactivate your sky even if you pay the bill unless you have a pyament method setup.

Give them a card they can use and hey presto

Also, the money is due by or on March 1st. So it's owing now. You can see why they wouldn't re-connect you when you have already missed a payment (and if you pay over the phone on the 1st March they won't get the funds until a few days later)

I take your point about previous conduct as a customer, however they aren't a credit facility- so they aren't going to be able to make a decision whether you are 'good' for the next payment. If someone had forgotten to pay you last month, would you take their word that the payment you currently owe will be made by the payment date?
