driving a W reg Ford Fiesta - been a good runner but just had new clutch, battery, spark plugs, tyres. Should I get the cambelt changed or get a new (old )car?

  • Get a quote for the work then decide if you will keep the car long enough to justify the outlay.
If you dont think it does, I'd just run it with basic servicing/repairs/consumables until it dies.

Cambelt on a Fiesta is cheap. If you do buy a new car, How long will it take to find one you like in good condition thats just had its cambelt done?

The next car you buy may need a cambelt.

Dont forget to replace the pulleys also.

Has it already been changed? It should be done before the car is 10 years old, and a W reg is coming up to 13 years, so hopefully it was done a few years ago and doesn't need doing again.
