I am fed up with these and not entering them anymore - anyone else feel the same???

Also these like and share comps break facebook promotions rules - I feel like reporting them all but then another comper may lose out on a prize and I dont want that :D

Anyways thats how I am feeling about them today - have entered loads previously but not anymore as feel its not fair on friends who end up with the shares!! Some of them are really cheeky too and offer really low value prizes

  • I tried a couple of L&S comps but soon became aware that everyone could see what I was doing. Naturally, I try to be a private person so I didn't like that I was broadcasting to the world what I was doing.

I don't mind if I get announced as a winner of a prize on social networks as that is part and parcel of comping but wouldn't then go sharing the news with people I know on FB.

I've seen the quality of these L+S comps go down in the past year. I won some nice things at the begining of last year, but now I can't be bothered to enter.

I prefer twitter and win more often than I ever did on FB.

They don't ever bother to message the winner, so a lot of time you can miss out! No more for me either. :( x

I can't stand them and haven't done them for a while. Tbh, most of them are prizes that are not of any interest to me.

    Never won on them anyway.

I dont mind doing them as they take very little time to do which is helpful for me as i work full-time. And I did win a huge bottle of perfume on fb doing exactly this type of comp.
  • I totally agree with you. I don't enter any Facebook like and share comps anymore. I only do the app ones now.

What annoys me more is when they break the rules by announcing the winner on their page, rather than contacting the winner directly. When you like lots of pages-necessary for comps-it can be hard reading through all the posts, even more so when half the posts stop showing up as they do after a while. How are you supposed to know if you won, other than hoping someone tells you? It's impossible to search through FB posts. Of course, with L&S posts, you don't give emails so they nearly all announce winners on the page, meaning you could easily miss out...

They should definately Message the winner through a FB message atleast to make it fair.

If you customise your share options on Facebook to ensure you are only sharing with yourself will your entry still count. It seems to register ok when I've done so in the past.

Only asking as I too dislike publicly broadcasting every time I enter a competition. Twitter is little better, my friends have threatened to unfollow as there fed up with all my re-tweets :(
