For years
I've never needed to logout because it automatically happens after a short period of time or when I power down, and I don't mind having to login again when I want to.
Today this has stopped happening; when I powered up this morning I was still logged in from last night!
If I logout I lose all my cookies telling me, when I click on User CP, which threads I'm subscribed to.
Whilst I realise I can access the threads I'm subscribed to via the left hand menu, it's not as easy.
Wassup guys? Iz waz me, or iz waz you?:)

Not the same, but my netbook isn't always firing up again if I just shut the lid.
So it's not you, it's the machines, they are taking over ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I always log out when I finish my session but I make sure that I use the linkbox to go back to the forum index, this seems to preserve my cookies so that when I log back in again, I go back to where I was with my CP list intact.
I have no idea how it works but it does, even if I do a bit of lurking before I log in0 -
i havent logged out for yearsWWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0

Panic over! I'm not having the problem this morning, so I hope it was just a weirdy wonder. And I agree with Sue, the machines seem to have a mind of their own - which is worrying .................

I never log out, i thought the reason behind logging out was something to do if you shared the same computer with someone else then the things you've been looking at could remain private.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

No doubt.:rotfl:
However ........... I do recollect that on occasion people have written that they wrote a long post and got timed out before they could submit it, so it's them an' all, innit.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

That could be the case for some people. I should have made it clearer that I don't log out, because I've always been timed out by the MSE software, so I didn't need to.
While i'm on Mse it doesn't cut me off after a certain time but if i go to a different site and come back later on, i find i need to log-on again, but it does it automatically.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
