Forgotten debts and dro

Hi there,
I have recently been advised by step change to apply for a dro as my debts are around the £14,000 mark and although I work full time my spare income is 0. My concern is that when sending off for the credit check some debts that I haven't been chased for turn up on the Gil and take me over the £15000 allowed. What are my options then?
Also as I had bailiffs calling for a ccj I was advised to apply for a suspension of the writ which I did on Friday, the judge suspended it until a hearing next Friday. I obviously won't have everything in place by then so do I tell the judge that I'm going down the dro route? The person I owe the money to will be there too, will they just send in the bailiffs so she can get some money rather than nothing? Really worried so any advice would be gratefully received.

On the ccj, you have applied to 'suspend the warrant' and 'vary the order'
The judge will probably look for the debt to be cleared in 3-5 years. Providing that is realistic on your income, the judge will change the order from 'pay forthwith' (I'm guessing that's what it originally said) to 'pay by monthly instalments of £X'
Now if X is greater than £50 you can expect the creditor to object if you get a DRO but this is still arguable. The judge is unlikely to change the order if X = 0.
I wouldn't mention what you are thinking of at the moment as, if the bailiffs are re-instructed and manage to access your goods, then their right to remove remains in place after the DRO. So some bailiffs make an extra effort if they know a DRO is possible.
If your total debts turn out to be over £15k then you still have full bankruptcy as an option.
If you can get a copy of your Experian file, and have £90 ready to pay then a DRO can be done quite quickly, though this will depend on your intermediary0 -

I have recently been advised by step change to apply for a dro as my debts are around the £14,000 mark and although I work full time my spare income is 0. My concern is that when sending off for the credit check some debts that I haven't been chased for turn up on the Gil and take me over the £15000 allowed. What are my options then? Token offers, bankruptcy or look to see if any debts have not been acknowledged / paid or court action for 6 years as these debts could be excluded.
If you tell the truth then at least you will be saving the creditor any further enforcement costs. Whatever happens, do not let any bailiffs in to your home - you have a right to keep them out. Really worried so any advice would be gratefully received.
EDIT; FB beat me to it, so it wasn't a start!

If you get your credit report online it is much quicker than posting the form off. Once Step Change have your paperwork then will have your DRO ready in a few days...0

Thankyou for you replies, I'm calling step change again this morning to see what they say. I did my expirian thing online but couldn't really make out who I owed money to? It didn't give a list of companies and amounts like I thought it would? Mind you it was late so perhaps I just wasn't looking properly.
Do I just ring the companies for an up to date balance once I receive the credit report? Anxious to get this sorted as soon as possible now so wondered how long that could delay matters.
Many thanks for your help and just reading forums of other people in similar situations has made everything a little less scary0 -

Just send the credit report to them and they should look over it quite closely to check there will not be a problem for you.
I believe Step Change will need you to get the most up to date verbal balances after you have paid the fee and you call back for them to submit your application0
