Visas for Kenya

We need to apply for visas for our family to travel to Kenya. Does anyone have any recent experience of this as I'm not sure how to fill in the form for the children and if there's a charge for the children.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I applied for a visa last month, no issues and very quick service.
I think it was a one side form, photos, and Postal orders, and sending passport so special delivery both ways.

According to the commissions site all children will need a visa.
What was you stuck on?

I'm stuck as to who signs the child visa form and whether there's a fee for children.

If you have British passports, you can just get them on arrival (despite what the Embassy website says). Ask your airline for guidance.

You can definitely get the Visa on arrival in Kenya, make sure your dollar notes are recent and give the exact amount which was $50 when I went last year. It's a fairly quick process.

I would agree that it's easier to get your visas on arrival. That will avoid you having to send in your passports with photographs and postal orders (!) which is the only form of payment allowed. When you arrive in Kenya, it's just a matter of joining a different queue to clear immigration.

Fill in the forms in advance and hand them over with $50 each - unfortunately you will have to pay this for the children too. They do sometimes accept other currencies, but always accept US dollars, so best to have them. Make sure you have also completed your landing cards (these are normally given out on the flight)
