Started working for the bank in dec 06...resigned april 07
My wages in dec, jan and feb with taxed basic rate so obviously paid too much tax and want to claim back...been pestering HR for them to send it me and seems to be taking its time.
Now just before i started at the bank in october i did 2 days temp work earned about £50.00 so obviously no tax deducted, however in the post today i get a p60 from them which shows 50.00.
Should i still get another p60 off the bank..as obviously i need to prove i was taxed too much..well i do have my wage slips(dont have p45 off them yet either)
Its at least £100.00 im owed back and really need it

Yes, once the financial year has ended, you will receive P60s from all employers you have worked for in that last year. This, however, can take time to come through to you. So long as your employers have your current address, then it will make its way to you.0

You are misunderstanding my post. I said the employer has to send a P14 to the Inland Revenue by 19th May. This is basically the same as the P60 they have also to give to you but with a little more detail. Employers usually get the P60's to their employees by the end of May. I received mine from my employer today in the post.
As far as getting a refund of tax is concerned you have 6 years to get the request to the Revenue so you don't need to panic.
Once you have all your P60's send them to your tax office or go to your nearest Inland Revenue enquiry centre. It takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks for any refund to be sent to you. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
