I live in the city and even though I've had a license for 5 years, I haven't needed a car.
I am buying my first car this month but want to know, do I have 0 no claims as I've never held a policy before?
Or do I have 5 years no claims as I haven't made a claim in the 5 years I've been driving?
Thanks for your help
Tom

Hi,
You'll have 0 no claims, as you've no had a policy to build any on.0 -
Have you been a named driver on someone elses policy or had access to a company vehicle? Some companies give credit for that sort of experience.0

Well have you been insured ?
If you have read my reply below.Have you been a named driver on someone elses policy or had access to a company vehicle? Some companies give credit for that sort of experience.
With an insurer who allows named drivers to build up they're own ncd/ncb.0 -
and even if your driving experience isn't with a firm that allows named drivers to build their own NCB then, provided you have documentation to support it, you will be able to find a broker/firm that will give you a discount that reflects your driving history.
More generally, the "NCB" that named drivers to build can only be used with the company concerned, out of interest, does that pseudo NCB ever get translated into real NCB that can be used with any company?0
