Fly (Dragonfly) in my Tesco Purchase

Hi,

Some guidance please ...

I made a purchase today from Tesco - a pre packed salad of Spinach, Watercress & rocket. It said washed & ready to serve. After opening inside I find a rather large dried dragonfly attached to a leaf of spinach.

Yuk & is this harmful?

& who should I complain to first? Tesco or?

Sounds bad just tell tesco. Nobody else will do anything.

It could of been worse, could have been a HORSEfly.

Why not just go the customer services desk where you made the purchase?

Return packaging and contents to Tesco and they will refund and hopefully offer a freebie: insects do occur outdoors where plants grow tho.

AFAIK these salads are machine washed in a weak bleach solution but each leaf is not individually inspected by Santa's elves in the off season. Personally I'd be more worried about the pesticides and chlorine than a natural bit of protein.
