help with car insurance and 12 month contracts!

Im getting a new car in approx 3 weeks but my car insurance for my current car runs out on tuesday, is there anywhere that will insure me for a month? My new car comes with a weeks free insurance and i was going to use this time to search for a better deal as my new car will be less to insure than my present car.
The cheapest quote for my current car (puma) is not the cheapest quote for my next car and i wont be able to change insurers because all are 12 month contracts.
Any thoughts?

Your current insurer should be able to cover you for another 30 days. Tell them you are selling the car and need a few weeks cover.You're Damned If You Do & You're Damned If You Don't :doh:0
