Hi all,
Off to cottage in Fakenham on Monday for 4 nights. Got 1 and 3 year old. Meeting friends there too (do not have kids).
Absolutely skint - worked sooooooooooo hard to rent cottage in first place - now really worried I have no ideas on what we can do.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

There is a great place for kids called Wroxham Barns, its a working farm that lets them feed the animals etc. I think you have to pay to get in though, so it might not be ideal. There are lots of very nice nature reserves on the broads that do activities for kids through the holidays, try looking on the natural trust and RSPB websites for details.0

I hope I'm allowed to post links on here? Please tell me if not.
There's this great site I've used: http://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/ which enables you to look up activities not only by area but also by age group.
I totally understand why you're a bit nervous, I'm taking my 20m old on our first holiday next week which is pretty scary for me. I'm staying at a caravan park though so I have the advantage of a soft play area, play park and toddler pool included in my bargain £42 holiday!!!
Have you got a Tesco Extra near to you? I ask because they've done a big range of cheap outdoor kid's toys this year. A pack of value skittles only cost me something like £1.50 and they have foam hopskotch pads you can link up and soft balls etc which could be appropriate activities for when you're not out and about. Okay your one year old will mostly just beat their older sibling round the head with the skittles but my son thinks it's amusing enough and they're only lightweight plastic!
It's got to be well worth searching the net for parks in the area too, especially ones with ponds as that usually means duckies (woo-hoo) and in residential areas you're bound to find play parks.0
