John Lewis Price Match vs Tesco Direct

Hi
I've been given a £10 off £50 spend at Tesco Direct voucher for new customers.
Will John Lewis match the Tesco Direct price including my £10 off voucher?
Thanks

So you can use the voucher to buy a £50 item for £40 from Tesco Direct? And you are asking will John Lewis price match the £40? No - they would only price match a price available to all customers - and not all customers have a money off voucher.

Perhaps you need to ask John Lewis...
"If I spend £50 with you, will accept a Tesco £10 voucher as part payment?"
    ;)
  • The voucher would be considered partial payment, rather than a reduction of the item price.

Why don't you just buy it at Tesco Direct?

In what way would it be considered partial payment, will Tescos give John Lewis the 10.00 pounds for the voucher?, also if the item had to be returned for whatever reason, would JL or Tesco refund the 10.00 pound partial payment?

What they're saying is that the price still remains at, say, £50. The £10 discount is seen as part of the payment towards that £50. John Lewis is likely to consider that the price is still £50 additionally.

Probably additional guarantee on John Lewis..
  • No as it would not meet the criteria for the never knowing undersold policy.

I want a £1500 TV from tesco direct, but I only have £1400 cash to spend. Will john lewis match it to £100?

I mean at Tesco. The product price would be £50, with payment in the form of a £10 voucher and £40 (card/cash), a opposed to the product price being reduced to £40 by using the voucher. As such, John Lewis would still match the £50 price.
